The Raleigh Blonde Yogi

Welcome

I started yoga in my early 20's to counter the running I had been doing since my teen years. I quickly found the benefit of how working your stabilizer muscles can help with not only other forms of exercise, but everyday life as well. After years of practicing, I thought to myself "I come to this studio every day, I might as well teach here!". So, I began my YTT journey! I completed my 50-hour sculpt certification & 200-hour yoga teacher training.

My goal is to help you find the movement that works best for your body throughout corrective cueing and modification options. My practice has a strong emphasis on learning how to properly use your breath to activate your inner core, which is directly interpreted into my teaching.

After completing one of my flows, you will leave feeling your core properly engaged, more confident in your movements and more open - physically & mentally!

I can't wait to take class with you!

xoxo,

Kara

CLASS DESCRIPTIONS

BEGINNER FLOW:

This class is suitable for all levels, but encouraged for those who are new to yoga, working through an injury or want to take time to slow down and feel the benefits of each posture. These classes are highly cued and breath to movement is a slower pace.

FLOW:

This is a fast-paced vinyasa. Breath to movement will increase your heart rate, and the unique transitions will leave you feeling sore but strong in all the right places. This class is best suited for an intermediate to advanced yogi as there aren't as many cues for each posture.

SCULPT:

This class utilizes light weights - usually 3lbs or 5 lbs. They are incorporated throughout the practice to build strength. This class is easily modified to any level, therefore it is welcome to all yogis! Body weight movement is also a great option!

STRENGTH:

Think HEAVY. In this class, you will be lifting the heaviest sets of weights you own, in a slow and controlled movement. Because the goal is to get each muscle group to fatigue, this class uses less reps. Suitable for all levels, STRENGTH is a great addition to any yoga practice.

TONE:

Mat based exercises, using light weights + props. This class is perfect for those with injuries or just starting their yoga journey. It's beat driven at a much slower pace than SCULPT to ensure proper alignment. The slow burn will catch up to you!
